How to become a model/actor?
Does anyone have any experience with this i would love to get some info on this? Its a child hood dream of mine and I thought I should at least give it a shot? Plus what do you think im chances are?
Info about me -
22 female 5′4″ blue eyes natural medium brown hair I live in missouri ( state with not that many opportunitys and right now i can’t move)
I currently am suporting my family so i don’t have the money for professional Pictures/training in it. Yes i do have a fall back plan (Art teacher)

I’m not sure about acting classes in Missouri, but as I tell everyone, find a college near you.
You are not tall enough for traditional modeling. I know that everyone hates to hear that, but I’m not the guy who runs the industry.
Don’t pay for modeling classes under any circumstance. Find college students who are looking for someone to model for them. You’ll learn a lot more being in front of a camera then you will in a modeling class, and it won’t cost you a thing.
Better yet, take dance lessons. Any photographer will tell you that the best, most ‘natural’ models are dancers, because they are always aware of the shape of their bodies. (Its cheaper then modeling lessons, and it will be a lot more useful for your acting career.)
As far as acting goes… if you’re going to pursue it, truly pursue it. Don’t go halfway. Work at it every day… do one thing that forwards your art every day and you’ll get somewhere. Be ready with several monologues that you’ve memorized for the ‘right’ audition, and have your headshot and resume ready.
I worked at a theater where opportunities came up every day. It was amazing to me to see how many professional actors didn’t have monologues at the ready when agents loved their look. Don’t make the same mistake. Study, and be ready. Audition for things that you don’t necessarily ‘want’ just for the experience of auditioning. And set your standards for what you’ll do high. Never compromise yourself.
